About me

Picture
One of the best gifts I ever received as a child was a basket full of art supplies:
glue, tape, scissors, paper, crayons, stickers, and MARKERS! Everything I could imagine an artist would need. I could cut and glue to my heart’s content with my very own goodies.

Creating more than a card, with attention to details and exceptional touches, each little card becomes a gift in itself. From my studio in Virginia, I design limited edition mini cards.

As you can see my new desk is filled with projects in the making.

How it's made

Picture
Assorted colors of paper provide the inspiration for a card. Whether I am creating the design on my computer to be sent to my special machine that can cut out fine details or fussy cutting the elements, paper is my initial starting point. ("Fussy cutting" is a silly term for spending a lot of time using tiny scissors to cut out images.)

Once I have everything cut out, I use a fine tipped glue applicator and a steady hand, to carefully glue each little piece and apply it with tweezers to the card. Embellishments, my FAVORITE, may be added, of course. Other elements my be attached with a foam dot which gives the card a dimensional element.

Hand embellished and decorated, your card is ready for you to sign.
